In the beginning of 2017, Lian & Lien was assigned to represent a famous  international company, which mainly produces and sells coffee machines,and filed a request on behalf of it for patent invalidation against a Chinese company which obtained our client's techniques by devious means.

We made elaborate preparations on obtaining evidences, filing applications and participating oral proceedings. The Patent Reexamination Board of the SIPO supported our request in its notification issued on December 01, 2017 and made a decision to declare the whole patent right of the Chinese company.

This kind of decision could make foreign companies more confident of protecting their intellectual property right in China.
