State Intellectual Property Office of P.R.C. (SIPO) has published 2016 China Patent Ranking on its website on Jan 19. The report showed that in 2016, the number of applications of invention accepted by the SIPO was about 1.34 million, which was increased by 21.5% than in 2015. China took the first place in the world for six years in a row for its huge increasement.
