Mr. MA Lianyuan is a famous IP expert in China, enjoying great reputation among China’s IP field. He participated in the legislative work of the patent law in the early years of the establishment of the Chinese patent system. He has been the Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office for many years and has led and participated the drafting of the first and second amendments of the Chinese Patent Law.

From 2002 to 2005, he was the senior advisor to the Director General of World Intellectual Property Organization. He was elected as President of All-China Patent Agents Association in 2007.
